Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you travel outside Atlanta for weddings?
Yes, I do! There is an additional travel fee of $.65 per mile outside the Metro Atlanta area.
  • What if my wedding gets rescheduled?
No worries! Your deposit can be rolled over to the new date, as long as you let me know upfront.
  • What's the average cost of wedding photography?
The average in Atlanta for 4 hours of coverage is around $2,100. However, my packages are very affordable.
  • How should I prepare for my engagement session (if offered)?
We have a handy outfit guide to help couples choose flattering attire. Relaxing and enjoying yourselves the day of the session ensures you'll look your best.
  • Do you offer retouching and editing?
Absolutely! I remove minor blemishes that will disappear naturally. Extensive retouching requires an additional fee. You can choose 5 complimentary edits, with any additional photo at $3 each. We don't edit sunburns, tattoos, weight, or hair.
  • Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Most couples take advantage of our payment plans. We require a 30% non-refundable deposit to book, with the remaining balance due 2 weeks before your wedding.
  • What's your photography style?
I capture a beautiful blend of timeless artistic portraits and candid moments with a touch of editorial flair. However, I'm flexible and adapt to various styles.
  • What do your wedding photography collections include?
All collections include high-resolution professionally edited digital files delivered on a custom flash drive. Additional services include engagement sessions, welcome dinner coverage, extra photographers, heirloom wedding albums, photo prints, thank you cards, and more.
  • How many photographers will you bring?
Mostly, I work solo. One photographer is sufficient for most weddings. However, I can recommend talented colleagues for larger weddings (over 150 guests, multiple locations, large wedding party).
  • Do you guarantee your presence at the wedding?
Absolutely! I wouldn't miss it for the world.
  • Do you have backup equipment?
Always! I'm a chronic over-packer to ensure I'm prepared for anything.
  • How long do you typically stay at a wedding?
Modern documentary photographers like myself typically stay to capture the party atmosphere, for as long as you'd like.
  • How soon will we receive our photos?
You'll get a sneak peek within 2-3 days of your wedding. Your online proofing gallery will be available in about six weeks. Once you approve the images, I'll process and ship your files and begin designing your album.
  • What format are the proofs offered in?
You'll have a private online proofing gallery with password protection for complete privacy, or you can choose to make it public for family and friends.
  • Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes, as your photographer, I hold the copyright. However, you'll receive an official copyright release for unlimited personal use and printing of your photos.
  • Will we get a wedding album?
Absolutely! Wedding albums are ordered upon your final approval and typically arrive 2-4 months later. The handmade quality is worth the wait!
  • How many weddings do you photograph a year?
The average photographer shoots 20-25 weddings a year. While Saturdays in summer are most popular, some dates get booked on short notice. So, if you love my work, book me quickly!
  • How long should I book a photographer for?
It depends on your needs and budget. The average is 8 hours, covering bridal prep through evening dancing. Some weddings require 12 or more hours across multiple days.
  • Do you provide food for the photographer?
Yes, photographers work hard throughout the day. Please factor in feeding them!
  • Do I need two photographers?
Two photographers offer several advantages: capturing multiple angles of ceremony, speeches, prep; more guest photos; and more candid images.
  • How many photos do you get in a wedding package?
Focus on quality over quantity. However, for an 8-hour wedding, expect around 500 images.
  • Why don't photographers deliver all photos?
RAW photos stay with the photographer for copyright and quality control. They also take multiple images and choose the best one.
